Public Transit Infrastructure Fund

Alberta will receive $347.2 million, aimed at improving and expanding public transit systems while stimulating the economy. Approved projects may receive up to 50% of Federal funding. The Department of Transportation is the lead on this Fund.

Deadline for submissions for this fund was March 1, 2017.

Approved Projects include:

LRT Station refurbishments (Calgary)  - $13,485,000

Engineering & design of North Transit Terminal (Airdrie) - $111, 842

Transit Facility Rehabilitation and Maintenance Upgrades (Medicine Hat) - $1,090,000

Transit Terminal and Regional Park n Ride (Lethbridge) - $2,027,000
